I was told never to go down the hatch.. that big wooden door that goes down into the cellar. Grandma said I would just fall and keep falling forever.
Of course I didn’t believe her. I saw her shut the door before with wine bottle in her hand I have not seen before. But this time, she was tipsy and when she locked it, the big combination lock clicked, but not like before. Yes, I suspected it wasn’t locked but had to wait. And wait. Besides, she needs to drink less anyway, I thought. Taking a sip, I feel it reach my stomach and that delightful tingling in my head.
I hear, slam!, the door has fallen closed and trapped me!
I stood in shock looking at that heavy door and there was no handle to unlock it from the inside. But then as my eyes adjusted to the dark, I notices a glow , a teal blue omnipresent glow begin to surround me. Very slowly I turned around and there was a light, hypnotic, coming through a passage. I walked, seemingly involuntarily to the light.
I found myself suddenly surrounded by the light and then..........
