It starts somewhere, usually with a desire to do something different. That is the definition of creativity, to think different, to do different. A behind the scenes look at the progression of art.

Creativity is not so much playing the guitar or drawing a picture as it is to do something totally different, like reading a book to an elderly person in a retirement home, or volunteering to wash the church bus, when you normally wouldn't think to do that. I admit, that in that sense, I have much creativity to be desired, yet it started somewhere.
It started with a desire to overcome depression, to get outside and to do something different. So I picked up a camera and went outside. My world, or rather my perception of it changed as I started to see the world through the lens. I noticed things and began to understand things that without creativityI would never have learned. This project began this same way, as a photograph of the neighborhood stray black cat. She had beautiful eyes and a photograph was taken. ut art progresses, and soon I was editing these photographs in Photoshop or other photo editors. Photoshop is deep and allows for endless progression into a black hole of creativity. Eventually I found I didn't even need a camera to create photos. I discovered fractals, drawing and this art, like a disease continued to progress. Eventually art morphed into two more dimensions, the third dimension of geometric art, or 3d and the dimension of time, or motion. So now I have video, photography and time and then 3d models, or an added geometrical dimension.
By now I am infected with art pretty seriously and there is little hope of recovery. While a normal healthy person might stop at this point, instead, I get a fever. One of the symptoms is thinking what else to do with the art. Then it progresses to exploring other art, techniques, researching software or materials, reading online forums and by now there is no stopping it. Below are a 3d sculpture of cat eyes created out of virtual clay and place in a 360 degree 3d viewer.

It appears this disease of art has reached a nice plateau and has stabilized. Right?.....WRONG! This alternative creative thinking is now epidemic and is spreading to other parts of the psyche. If we can have 3d cat eyes, then why not 3d Vessel, or space ship? and if we can have either or, then why not both? Below is a 3d model of the space ship Havocat with the eyes part of the ship. Not only does this craft reflect more art, so do the cat eyes above!. The disease has become critical now!

Perhaps this hypothetical humorous reference to art of a virus has been satisfied now and the disease of creativity and art will go into remission. Art knows not remission, only progression. It even progresses when one sleeps. It is contagious and is cunning, calling itself inspiration to try to avoid detection!. Yes, art will eat away and eat away and the desire to create will continue until there is no host left. So what now, then?
Well, lets get this thing moving!
Night Eyes. 10 second loop of animated abstract art of cat eyes sculpture to Febbing Around, an industrial ambient soundtrack by Rybrd.
As you can see, there is no stopping it once it has invaded. It even invades areas beyond what is suspected. For example the MUSIC!. yes, that too needed to be created for the animation!. There is no hope!. But the Elephant in the room has not even been recognized yet. What do you mean, Elephant in the room?
Well what other creativity is needed to satisfy this progressive disease we call art now that we have all these symptoms? We create a blog post!, Then try to find creative ways to share it!. Oh lord help us!. Rybird, March 14 2017
